"It'll be fine"

Ask people around you what the term “it’ll be fine” means and you will hear that it is highly likely that everything will turn out fine, that the luck factor will play a role or that it is not that big of a deal.

“But not at Van de Kamp,” says Colinde van de Vliet, co-owner and responsible for logistics at SDB Vitrinebouw in Rosmalen.

Colinde continues… “sometimes we request – last minute – changes in delivery times or delivery locations, and I have never experienced that Van de Kamp’s planners and drivers did not make it happen.”

The case in detail

Just last week…we had a last minute change in unloading address from one city to another city in Germany. “Okay, it will be fine,” was the answer from Paul, the planner at Van de Kamp. And yes, perfectly arranged and on time. Without ifs and buts! And we also get each other on the phone immediately if we need each other. That is quite unique in the transport world.

“We have been working together for about 30 years now. Our showcases are vulnerable products with many thin profiles and lots of glass. Van de Kamp’s drivers know exactly how to deal with this. They collect our display cases from us in Rosmalen once or twice a week and then deliver them to our customers the following week. That saves us space that we can use for our production and it is safe at Van de Kamp.

Their drivers know our customers, are friendly, punctual and speak their languages,” says Colinde.

Co-owner Eric van de Vliet adds, “It is incredibly important to us that our display cases are delivered to our customers in perfect condition. We sell and deliver in the Benelux, Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden and England. We would like to pass on our beautiful display cases to the Van de Kamp drivers without hesitation.

The craftsmanship of the drivers guarantees damage-free deliveries and we are very happy with that. They don’t know how to say ‘no’ in Druten and they simply deliver on what they promise. Our customers are very pleased with this. In that sense, their drivers are an extension of our craftsmanship and therefore also the business card that our customers see. We sometimes catch ourselves using the term “it will be fine” when we talk about Van de Kamp.

Everyone knows that things will turn out fine for those men and women from Druten.”
