Why make things difficult when we can do it together?

“The quote “Why make it difficult when you can do it together” may not have come from the ancestors of our companies, but the collaboration with Van de Kamp still exists. This collaboration has existed for more than 40 years. In fact, “Collaboration is closer than ever,” says Ron Gubbels.

The case in detail

Cause

These are the words of Ron Gubbels from furniture factory Het Anker
and Joep van de Kamp from the international transport company Van de Kamp.

“The quote “Why make it difficult when you can do it together” does not come from the ancestors of our two companies, but the collaboration with van de Kamp, which began 40 years ago, still exists. In fact, the collaboration is closer than ever,” says Ron Gubbels.

Joep van de Kamp continues; “We and Het Anker, both over
90 years old, discovered each other about 40 years ago. At that time, Het Anker produced heavy oak furniture and we mainly transported this furniture to Germany. H
et Anker has now long since passed the oak furniture stage and, based on this experience, we have built a stable, internationally operating furniture transport company.”

Solution

Joep continues; “Initially we only took care of the transport. Today we are completely connected. We collect the furniture we produce immediately, store it in a dry and safe group in our warehouses and deliver it to dealers all over Europe on time.”

Ron Gubbels adds: “It is precisely the direct collection and grouping that makes working with van de Kamp financially attractive and very efficient.”

We can use all available space for design, showroom and production.”

And so both companies continue to do the things they’re good at. They make fantastically beautiful furniture. The other ensures just-in-time delivery to retailers. And this collaboration continues. Think about even smarter innovations, more digitalization, networking each other’s strategies. That’s what we do and what makes working together so pleasant.

“Why make it difficult when you can do it together!”

“Our company has its origins in the feed trade in the 1930s. At that time, the reed industry was an important economic source in the Land van Maas en Waal.

With the decline of this industry, the region was forced to develop new skills and the rise of the furniture industry is due to this period. This development offers our company opportunities to become a stable transport partner for manufacturers and dealers in the furniture industry.”
